On Wednesday, October 27, 2010 the 106th World Series began in San Francisco. History was made in Texas on Monday, November 1, 2010 when the San Fransisco Giants won the world series with a 4-1 title. It is the first World Series Championship for the Giants since 1954 and the 1st since their relocation to San Fransisco from NYC in 1958!! Way to go San Francisco!!!!!!!

Halloween Night 2010

This was the first Halloween the kids wanted to be with their own friends! Dylan (Jason Voorhees) from Friday the 13th went trick or treating with Mitchell. I was thankful both Rob and Chris took the boys!
Morgan (cat) went with her girlfriends with the supervision from Tim, Kelly's dad.
Thank you Chris and Tim for supervising the kids to make their Halloween a fun and safe night!!

Halloween 2010

This was the year of MANY costumes! At the Ward's party Rob and I went as the blind referee and the soccer player. At the Klump's party I was Marty of the Pink Ladies with a quick half time costume change to one of the "Beauty School drop out dancers". On Halloween night I was just what I could find in the Halloween box! Almost too boring to talk about after all the above mentioned!

Daniele (Rizzo), Stacey (Jan), Cathi (Frenchy), Michelle (Bad Sandy) and myself (Marty) went as the Pink Ladies from Grease! Oh Yeah, and Rick surprised us all with the (Good Sandy) cheerleader outfit, hilarious!

Rob went as a transvestite.... I think??? Too much fun with that costume, and too many inappropriate pictures to post on a family blog!!

Ranger girls get to play at UOP

The Rangers got a chance to play at half time during the girls UOP soccer game on 10/10/10 for 10 minutes! Afterwards the Ranger girls had a chance to meet and get autographs from some of the players!
After the game we met at "The Graduate" for some lunch with the Klumps.

We've been Boo'd!!!

What do you get around Halloween when you're home, not home it doesn't matter.......you get BOO'd! I'm bummed we missed it when it was our turn. After a late soccer scrimmage we went to Round Table for dinner and to catch the last of the Giants game. When we came home only to find our friends came by to wish us a Happy Halloween! On the porch were goodies and sidewalk chalk with cute messages for us! LOVE our friends!! We later in the month went out all together and Boo'd new people, fun for all!

Boys give each other hair cuts

The boys have their monthly tradition to go see Nick at the barber shop then they usually grab breakfast afterwards. Time must have slipped by and they needed cuts badly so in the backyard they went to give each other buzzes. This was just too cute not to post!

LA Weekend Getaway

It all started at a fundraiser I attended with my friends earlier in the year when I bid on a UCLA game and an autographed football. I thought I was doing my part by getting the bid going with a low bid, but to my surprise...........I won it! I told Rob in February we were going to go to LA for our anniversary a little late but we'd be checking out a UCLA vs. Stanford game at the Rose Bowl. We flew out of Stockton on Allegiant Air for a ridiculous price of $9.99 each way so I figured it was meant to be! We stayed at the famous Westin Bonaventure where many movies have been filmed including: In The Line of Fire, Nick of Time, True Lies, Midnight Madness and so much more! Friday night we started happy hour at 2:30 pm at Engine Co. No 28 Restaurant and Bar! This was totally cool, an old firehouse that had been converted into a restaurant.

We met one of our high school friends in Beverly Hills who is into producing movie shorts (one of Rob's hobbies) so we hung out for a while and caught up on old times! We were also fortunate enough to sit in on a live taping on the CBS set to see a new series "Better with You" which airs on Wednesday nights. Totally worth the long time they keep you to get the acts right and produce the most laughs!

Finally, we headed to the UCLA game but not with out first stopping off at the world famous home of the French Dip Sandwich "Philippe's". If you're ever in the area and need some good grub and a fun atmosphere this is your place. After a satisfying meal we headed over to UCLA campus and walked off our dinner to get in! The place was packed with alumni from both UCLA and Stanford. UCLA took a beating 0-35 to be exact, but the fun atmosphere was something to take in!

We flew home the next morning and came home to a homemade cake by the kids. A perfect 2 day get away was just what the doctor ordered!

Flowers by the Bunches for Pennies!

My girlfriend Lori and I hit the mother lode of all flower sales one Friday morning. Lori and I will usually keep up to date on planting our annuals and perennials and it was time to hit up Parks Wholesale Green house in Ripon so we went to check out what they had. Little did we know they were BLOWING out all their flowers. We filled up the bed of my truck for less than $15 ea!! If anything it got my butt out in the yard to prune and weed which took a day in itself. This put me in the mood to plant all my pretty flowers! I love flowers, and this made it even more exciting to score on the price too!

Rangers Day at Great America

IT'S RANGER DAY AT GREAT AMERICA!!!!

What a way to spend a Friday opening and closing Great America with a bunch a pre-teenage girls going on a bunch of spinning rides!!!

I'd have it no other way, being with the girls was so much fun. We literally were the last out of the park, did I mention we were there when it opened??? Mo and a few of the girls from her team and some from the Lady Rangers hung out all day eating junk food and going on EVERY imaginable ride. Even the rides you need to be a certain height and sign a waiver "if you die you won't sue them"!!! Well we lived to tell about it, and what a thrill it was. Thank you girls for making me feel like I was young again!
