Santa Cruz Soccer Tournament and Boardwalk

Mo had only one overnight stay for a tournament this year and we were ready to hit Santa Cruz and have a fun weekend away. We played Saturday and Sunday and placed 4th in the tournament. The foggy mornings and the sun filled days made it so much fun to watch soccer. Cousin Sue who moved from Hawaii to Santa Cruz came to campus to watch one of Mo's games! I loved seeing her again and only wish we had more time to spend together that weekend. Unfortunately this was the weekend of our first annual family reunion that we missed too! Too much good stuff to do in too short of a weekend! We are hoping to catch up next year Pembertons!!!

We stayed with the team in Campbell and enjoyed drinks out by the pool while some of the girls on the team went night swimming. We decorated are cars to show team spirit that night too! We ate at Hooter's for the first time as a family and Dylan may have met his first girlfriend! Coach Charlie was giving him a bad time about that all weekend long!

On Sunday we snuck in a couple hours at the Boardwalk between games and basically rode 50 rides in 3 hours..... stomach was a lil' queasy but no time for a corn dog, it was rush back to the soccer fields for our last game. Raylene and Mo made enough time to get Hanna tatoos to show how dedicated they are to the team! The girls did well and had a blast bonding all weekend.

On our way home we stopped off at a restaurant in Livermore I've been dying to try. We ate at "Simply Fondue"!! When we walked in it turned out we new the bartender who was just getting off work but she had time to explain the extravagant menu and hooked us up on the right martinis to start our meal! Another fun weekend with the family I will never forget!
